Akhil joined Yelp in 2017 and leads the Consumer and Ads product teams, with more than 15 years of experience building vertical search and marketplaces. Prior to Yelp, Akhil held leadership roles at Indeed, where he helped scale jobseeker and employer-facing products globally, and at Cogo Labs, where he contributed to building several startups. He was also Chief Product and Technology Officer at Stitch.is, focused on conversational search. Akhil began his career in research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Indian Institute of Science. He holds an M.S. in Engineering Systems from Cornell University.
